If you are lucky enough to have a few of days up your sleeve in October, there is an industry opportunity not to be missed.
Optimism: Icograda Design Week in Brisbane, October 2010 aims to “Inspire, Challenge and engage, to provoke thinking, and to create change.”

The core focus of the the conference is to celebrate the contribution Designers and Creatives have in delivering successful results for businesses, organisations and community. It promises to use case studies of businesses that have made the most of the power of thoughtful Design for gain an “edge”, and to generally inspire and inform attendees.

The Event
The timetable includes a two day international Conference – featuring around 700 professionals eg Policy leaders, CEOs and Design Agency Management from Australia and Asia Pacific. A one day Education workshop for students will be held, as well as and Icograda Stakeholders Meeting and a Design Trade Fair – functioning as a B2B event attracting Design Studios, Advertising agencies, software and hardware manufacturers etc.

Event venues
The Conference will be held at The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, located on the South Bank riverside in the heart of Brisbane.
The opening reception for VIP guests and the delegates will be hosted at the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA)
