This summer Chill Island is happening Saturday 16 January at Churchill Island in the Phillip Island Nature Park.

Ben Cunningham of 27DC has a long standing connection with the music industry. Back in the 80’s when music was all vinyl and cassingles he was a runner in the art department of Mushroom Records, sparking a union between design and music that carries through to this day.

Since those days on his feet Ben has designed record covers, tour posters and even been involved with music videos.

Chill Island began as an idea, getting a bunch of world class bands, musicians and DJs together in one place for a large crowd to enjoy and go nuts with. By combining powers with some other talented people in the music industry, in a Captain Planet kind of way, Chill Island was born and has been growing stronger every year.

This is the 5th incarnation of the festival and allegedly the best yet. With a line up that will not just entertain but teach people about what is possible within the world of music. Think of it as mind blowing edutainment.
