Unfinished and Unpublished
The notebook renegades.
Unfinished and Unpublished is a limited edition collection of notebooks created in collaboration between StudioMatador and international artists and designers. Artists commissioned include Kat Mcleod, Tobias Rottger, Alpha60 and Pandarosa well known in their individual creative fields.
Focusing on a modern interpretation of traditional artisan wares, the notebooks are the next installment of the studio's self-generated initiatives. The notebooks are produced in Australia for like-minded spirits around the world.
The collection is inspired by the philosophy of Wabi Sabi, a celebration of the unconventional and imperfect. The impermanent and incomplete nature of notebooks allows the end user to instill their own aesthetic and inspiration, to become a curator.
Released bi-annually, this unisex notebook collection delivers a rare beauty that yearns discovery. We love monochromatic, bold graphics. This is a collection without floral patterns or cloth binding.
The section sewn binding technique, a method that uses threads to hold signatures or sections together of a book, has been embraced for its handmade craftsmanship. This unique feature allows the notebook to lay flat when open.
Recommended for writing, daydreaming, drawing, sketching, doodling... anyone got a pen?
