AREAWARE is all about Design product and represents a number of creatives who work with the unusual, bringing a sense of colour the absurd to fictional items.
AREAWARE:
"Art as product? Impulsive, Eccentric, Spirited, Mindful(but not wistful)of things past, Challenging expectations, Polymorphous, New York City, U.S.A., Earnest in our design ideals, Good humor.
Our Mission
1. To create thoughtful products that encourage a dialogue between people and their everyday surroundings.
2. To create useful and poetic objects.
3. To create objects which inspire an emotional response.
4. To explore design languages as a means of creating new syncretic forms.
5. To create a forum for young and local talent to see their ideas become real and tangible, and to develop their narratives through a larger body of work.
6. To be a strong voice for American design on the world stage.
7. If appreciation for beauty is central to what it means to be alive, then we want to embody this principle in even the simplest of things.
AREAWARE is a New York City based manufacturer."
