It would be safe to say that many people had written Whitney well and truly off. She hadn't had a hit in years - well, at least not a musical one - and her private life seemed far more titillating than anything she was releasing in the record stores. However, her new single from her new album 'I Look To You' could change all that. 'Million Dollar Bill' is an out and out (and I mean 'out') dance floor stomper with the single mix managing to capture that authentic 70's disco sound whilst the remixes, brilliantly done by UK duo The Freemasons, takes the song in an all new direction entirely. Smart move, since the radio edit may not ignite the European market in the same way a house friendly Freemasons mix can, doubling her potential market. Yes, it is clearly aimed at her long time and gay fans however it is done so well that it will, inevitably, become a Whitney fan favourite.
