soundtrack - (500) days of summer (sire)
October 08, 2009
From possibly one of the better films to grace our cinema screens this year comes a soundtrack that is, surprisingly, not so much 'love laden' as it is 'love philosophical'. Featuring the likes of Regina Spektor, Feist, Wolfmother and Simon & Garfunkel, '(500) Days Of Summer' is a quirky compilation that will leave you feeling the spirit of the film long after the last frame has left the projector reel. Highlights have to be Meaghan Smith's fantastic acoustic reworking of the Pixies classic, 'Here Comes Your Man' and the Hall & Oates 'You Make My Dreams', being one of the more upbeat moments in the film (dance routine and all). Check out the film first and then follow it up with a copy of the CD.
