various - ministry of sound clubbers guide to summer 2008 (import)
August 20, 2008
Ahh, the good old Ministry Of Sound compilations. Forever faithful. Forever able to somehow slip that one track on that you hear out all the time, have no idea what it's called but you end up drunkenly yelping "You know! It's the one that goes la la laaaa de daaa" over the bar. Saviours of the dancefloor and forever blessed. That's our Ministry Of Sound. And what about the 'Clubbers Guide To...' series! Talk about staying power. Along with 'The Annual', these are what dance compilations are pretty much based on. As is the new standard, three CD's are on offer here featuring tracks from the likes of Alex Gaudino (You know, the one that did that 'Destination Unknown' track), the Freemasons (the ones that covered Alanis), Fedde Le Grand (the one that had that "Tha-Tha-The Creeps" track) and Utah Saints (the ones that were around last decade but have mysteriously reappeared again recently). It's fun, funky, a lot cheaper than going out and you're very likely to be let back into your own loungeroom after 2am. It's definitely 'the one' to get.
