Ok, I'll admit it - the only reason I reviewed this album had more to do with the fact that it is Captain Jack (Doctor Who/Torchwood) than it is John Barrowman. In fact, the album itself, a collection of show tunes and musical numbers that have been strung together in an autobiographical fashion, can be often a little on the cheesy side. Having said that, Barrowman actually does have a great voice - especially for show tunes - but it may have a fairly limited market, mostly comprising of fans of Torchwood and Doctor Who. So, if you've ever wanted to hear Captain Jack tackle versions of 'One Night Only', 'Memory', 'Don't Cry Out Loud', 'Copacabana', 'The Winner Takes It All' or 'You'll Never Walk Alone', then this could be the album for you. Otherwise, perhaps just spend you money on the excellent Torchwood five part series, 'Children Of The Earth'.
