various - triple j hottest 100 vol 16
March 11, 2009
Who doesn't look forward to each year's Triple J Hottest 100 CD? Each year, this double disc of delicious fun gives us a massive serving of musical tastes from across the board and this year's compilation seems to be no exception. This year, it seems hardly surprising that first track off the rank would be Kings Of Leon's massive hit 'Sex On Fire', which dominated the charts for much of the later half of last year. Elsewhere on the compilation, tracks from MGMT ('Kids'), The Presets ('Talk Like That'), Ladyhawke ('My Delirium'), Lily Allen ('The Fear') and The Ting Tings ('That's Not My Name') round out what proves to be a very strong compilation. Aimed squarely at those people who don't really buy that many CD's anymore, 'Triple J Hottest 100 Vol 16' is going to be a sure fire buy for those who just want to make sure they have all the years hits without it straying too much onto the pop side.
