It only seems like yesterday that dance music was experiencing this new sound known as 'Electroclash', with the key innovators in the sound being this quirky US duo known as Fischerspooner. Whilst the electroclash movement has died down somewhat, Fischerspooner have taken their sound and thrown it into new directions that make their third album, 'Entertainment' just pure... well... entertainment. 'The Best Revenge' is electroclash in retro mode, complete with synthised horns. 'Infidels Of The World' is a sneaky little pop song dressed up in electroclash rags. Even tracks like 'To The Moon' seems to mix in elements of traditional rock and roll with a hint of psychedelica. In short, when it comes to Fischerspooner, you should always know to expect the unexpected.
