What a night, creatives from across the country all coming together to celebrate a year of being awesome. Awesome design, awesome people and awesome entertainment.

By Mathew Hehir

Dave Callan was an excellent host and MC for the evening. Thanks again for the tips on how best to move down stairs and advice on when to take bathroom breaks. Always with style and a beard it wouldn’t have been the same without him.

A special high five goes out to Diana Thornley, a long time Artisan who entered a self promotion piece in a very competitive category. Congratulations Di, everyone here at Artisan is very proud of you.

It would be remiss of me not to thank the sponsors of the evening, Qantam and Desktop. Without which a celebration of Australian design like this wouldn’t have been possible. Jo Spurling, all the best on your next adventure. Brendan McKnight, we wish you all the best at the helm.

An opportunity to celebrate design in Australia is something that we should all be supportive of, I’m already looking forward to what the next year holds. Again, congratulations to all of the winners for 2010 from all of us here at Artisan.
