With the onset of daylight savings we’re officially entering the home stretch of 2009, which means its time to start planning those special events and dinner parties! What better way to celebrate than an evening at the newly opened and renowned MoMo restaurant. The ambiance is warm, inviting and opulent and the dangling diamonds (faux or not) add a touch of kitch glam to the homely décor. The food is, for want of a better word, amazing, and the menu offers options to either dine a la carte or choose from one of two degustation menus – Arabesque, Moorish or MoMo Grand Feasting – the former is slightly less expensive and the with the only real difference being the number of courses, I would definitely recommend going for the cheaper alternative as it is still enough to feed a small army of fine-dining connoisseurs. The decadent and delectable fair you can expect is a combination of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine dreamed up by restauranteur and award-winning author of Turquoise (2007) Greg Malouf, whose middle-eastern influence has led him to produce a range of spices – Malouf’s Spice Mezza.

While the menu may carry the expected price tag for a restaurant of this calibre, the service only adds further value to your experience with down-to-earth, professional and approachable staff who would literally bend-over-backwards to give you the experience to accompany even the most important occasion on your social calendar.

Get your glam on and get down to MoMo (and bring an empty tummy!)
