“Home away from Home” is how Little Creatures Brewries (from WA foundations) describe their converted warehouse and very spartan styled dining hall in the hub of Fitzroy’s gritty Brunswick Street. FINALLY, a place designed solely for the unbridled and unashamed, regular worship of our favourite yeasty drop.

Whether your meeting the crew for a Saturday afternoon catch up session, entertaining friends from out of town or simply keen to mingle it up with some laid back beer drinkers – Little Creatures Dining Hall is a splendid little solution to your thirsty problem.

Boasting sky high ceilings, a polished concrete floor and an open plan “free for all” dining hall layout, you can take your pick of a booth against the wall, a bar leaner or plonk yourself down on one of the centered long tables. The drinks menu caters for a the thirstiest of punters (served in large jam-jar-esk contraptions resembling the classic pint glass) – right down to the ladies smallest serve of tap pour – affectionately coined a “pony” (soooo cute!). With an international wine list, and a seriously tasty but casual menu – prepared at the rear of the hall for all to view, little creatures has it all – right where you want it.

If you're anything like me, this place may just take you back to those idle student based afternoons... when the daily 9-5 grind was something you read about in sociology journals and analysed during the odd economics lecture...

Oh – and they actually hire out very cool retro styled bikes complete with helmets onsite (GENIUS!!).
