Sakura Kaiten Sushi
The conveyor just rolls the delicious dishes straight to you.

By Lawrence Akers
Tucked away on Little Collins St is a Sushi shack so small, blink and you would've walked past it. Which would be an absolute shame since this slender restaurant contains some of the tastiest sushi treats I've come across in some time. Many have described Sakura Kaiten Sushi restaurant as being not much more than a counter with stools but it is this intimate environment that is half the appeal. The other half is the counter of delicious Sushi snacks that rotate their way around - ranging from your traditional tuna and salmon slices through to the more adventurous. Alternatively, you can order from their extended menu - all of which is more than reasonably priced. In fact, you can expect a decent feed for three people to cost you around $50 including an item or two from the extended menu plus a few plates of interesting and tasty morsels as you go.
