At times it’s always good to go back and re-visit your local, and for me it’s the Spread Eagle pub on Bridge Road, Richmond. With more of a pub feel than that of other bars lining this popular strip in Richmond, it's a great spot.

You walk in to a homely feel, with a large bar area where people meet after work to discuss the day’s activities over a cold beer or a glass of wine from a surprisingly extensive list.

The partly partitioned bistro area ensures you still feel apart of the pub atmosphere, which offers a wide range of meals and an exciting specials board. Service is prompt and polite, and staff are always happy to refill your drinks.

A visit on a Wednesday night is highly recommended with its $14 steak on offer. Or to pass a cold Sunday afternoon a $12 parma (5 toppings available) and pub quiz.
